Working hours, appointment length and blocked time

Working hours and blocked time

The hours you set on Calendar → Your working hours are the only hours the assistant may offer a lead. An unchecked day is closed. The same editor appears as the Hours step of setup; both save to the same place.

Set your week

  1. Optionally pick a template under Start from a template (weekday office, early trades, four-day week, evenings and weekends, seven days, split shift). Picking one fills the editor; nothing is saved until you press the button.
  2. Tick the days you work and set each day's start and end. Press + to add a second interval on a day (a lunch break), − to remove one; the last interval on a day cannot be removed, untick the day instead.
  3. Set Appointment length (minutes), Gap between appointments (travel or turnaround time), and Minimum notice (the soonest the assistant may book, in hours).
  4. Press Save hours. The message reads "Hours saved."

Times are in the time zone shown under the block-time card. Every industry sees every template; your week is yours to choose.

Block time

Vacation, a job site, a Friday off: under Block time, enter a start and an end and press Block. Appointments already booked inside the block stay booked; the message tells you how many, so you can cancel them if needed. Press Remove on a block to lift it.

To close a whole week, use Block time. Unticking every day is refused ("Leave at least one day open"), because an empty week would silently reopen the calendar to a default.

What the assistant offers

Only slots inside your working hours, outside your blocks, outside busy time from any connected calendar, at least the minimum notice away, and long enough for an appointment plus the gap. A lead asking for "Thursday afternoon" gets real Thursday afternoon slots or an honest "nothing that day" with the nearest alternatives.

Common problems

  • "Two intervals on the same day overlap" or "The end time must be after the start time": fix the interval and save again.
  • "You have not set your hours yet — a default is being used": no week has been saved; set one so the default stops applying.
  • The assistant offers a day you are closed: confirm the day is unticked and the week was saved; check no connected calendar is missing its busy-time toggle.
