Settings: alerts, claim window and your identity
Settings
The Settings page controls how new leads reach you and how the assistant presents your business. Every field saves with the Save button at the bottom of the first card.
Your identity
- Business name (what leads see and hear): the name the assistant says on calls and the sender name on texts.
- Your name — optional: for a person-first business such as a real-estate agent. Leave it blank for a company.
- The line "Industry: …" shows what you chose in setup. It shapes the assistant's interview questions and what we declare to the phone carriers.
Alerts
- My cell (for lead alerts): where your new-lead texts go. Keep it current; an empty or wrong number means no alerts.
- Your numbers are held across updates: a saved cell or line is never blanked by an update, by re-running the setup wizard, or by a save that leaves the field empty. Clearing a cell is an explicit act on this page (save it empty), and releasing a line happens on the Numbers page. If your cell is missing, a red banner on every page says so and links here.
- Text-alert language (alerts to you): English or Spanish for the alerts you receive.
- After-hours lead alerts: "Text me right away, any hour", "One morning summary of overnight leads", or "No night alerts". This only changes when you hear about a lead, never whether the lead is captured.
The AI and the claim window
- AI calling enabled for my leads: the master switch for the assistant calling your leads.
- Claim window (minutes, 0-60): how long you get to claim a lead before the assistant dials. Zero means the assistant calls immediately.
Appointment reminders
Under Appointment reminders you choose when reminders go out, counted back from the appointment: one ladder for the person who booked and one for you. Tick any of the rungs on offer (7 days, 5 days, 72 hours, 48 hours, 24 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, 15 minutes); we send them longest-first and never twice for the same rung. Leave a ladder empty for no reminders of that kind. The 5-day and 7-day rungs carry the prep checklist you keep under Appointment prerequisites, so a person is told what to bring while they can still act on it.
Advanced
- Assistant voice: a voice id from your voice provider. Leave it as is unless support gives you one.
- My Twilio number (SMS sender to my leads): only for accounts that bring their own number; it must be a number FirstFiveMin knows about.
Where you're signed in
The last card lists every device signed in as you with its last activity. Sign out ends one device; Sign out everywhere else ends all but this one. If you lose a laptop, press that button, then change your password.
Admin only: previewing another industry
If you sign in with a platform-admin login, Settings shows an extra card, Admin: industry switcher. The admin account is a company entity, so it is not tied to one industry. Preview in this session only makes everything this signed-in session renders — openers, scripts, disclosures, labels and help — read as the chosen industry, without storing anything; other sessions and the account itself are untouched, and the preview ends when you clear it or after eight hours. Make this the account's industry really changes the account, is audited, and comes with a warning: the landing-page demo, the hosted form and every script speak that industry for every visitor until you switch it back.
Common problems
- "Your user isn't linked to an agent profile yet": the account owner has not finished setup, or your user was invited without a working profile. The owner links it from the Account page.
- Save says the request is invalid: the claim window must be 0–60 and the cell must be a real phone number.
- The assistant says a different business name than expected: change Business name here; it takes effect on the next call.
