Opt-outs, do-not-contact and quiet hours

Opt-outs and compliance

The assistant only ever calls a lead who agreed to be called, inside lawful hours, and it stops the moment anyone asks. This is enforced by the product, not by a setting you could forget.

How a lead opts out

  • By text: STOP (or ALTO, or the Spanish equivalents) to any message from you. The number is suppressed immediately across every channel: texts, emails, calls and voicemail drops. One revocation stops everything.
  • On a call: telling the assistant to stop is recorded the same way.
  • By you: on the lead's record, press Mark do-not-contact and confirm. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone from that page.
  • At the form: a lead who declines AI calling is stored but never dialed; the Leads page marks them "Wants a personal call (no AI)".

A suppressed number stays suppressed. Re-opting-in after a genuine STOP is a new consent by the person; there is no override switch, by design.

Recording opt-out

A lead who says "don't record me" during a call is honored: the recording is deleted and future calls skip the recording line. That is separate from opting out of contact.

Quiet hours and state rules

The assistant never dials outside the legal calling window for the lead's own area, in every time zone the lead could plausibly be in, and it applies the stricter state rule where one exists. A lead who arrives at night gets an acknowledgment and a call at the first lawful moment; the lead's record shows the deferral as a first-class row with its reason. Your own calling hours can narrow this window but never widen it.

The evidence

Every consent decision, every call, and every time we did not contact someone is in an immutable log. On a lead's record, Full record lists the timeline; on Conversations, Download proof bundles one call's evidence; on Settings, the AI-disclosure compliance log (CSV) exports every disclosure.

Deleting a person's data

An account owner can press Delete their data on a lead's record, type DELETE, and the person's identifying data is erased. Their do-not-contact status is kept so they are never contacted again.

Common problems

  • A lead you want to call is "suppressed": they opted out. Only they can opt back in.
  • The assistant would not call at 8 p.m.: that is outside the lawful window for that lead's area or state. The record's timeline names the rule.
  • A lead says they never opted out: open Full record; the STOP or decline event is there with its timestamp and channel.
