Offers by text: the opt-in box, the offer card, STOP OFFERS
Offers by text
Some businesses like to send new leads a discount or a new-customer offer. FirstFiveMin does that only for people who asked for offers — it is a separate, optional consent, never part of the scheduling consent that covers your first call.
How a lead opts in
- On your form: when you turn offers on, your form shows a second, unchecked box under the main consent: *"Yes, text me offers and promotions from {your business}…"* with the limits, the rates line, STOP and HELP, and links to your privacy policy and terms. Nothing is pre-ticked. The exact wording is fixed (counsel-approved) and the number of messages it promises is the same number the product enforces.
- On the call: if a caller asks about deals or discounts, the assistant asks once, in fixed words, whether they would like your current offer by text. A yes is recorded with the call and counts as their consent for offers.
- Right after the tick, the person gets one short confirmation text (at night it waits for the morning).
What you write
Under Settings → Offers: a headline, one line of terms, an expiry date (required), and an optional promo code. The message itself is a fixed shell around your text, always signed with your business name and ending with *Reply STOP OFFERS to stop offers, or STOP to stop all messages.* The text links to your offer page on our domain, which shows the full offer, the code, a QR and your contact card.
When it goes out
You choose the day: the offer is sent that many days after the inquiry (default 7, up to 90). It is checked again at send time: the person still opted in, they have not replied STOP or STOP OFFERS, the offer has not expired, no offer went to them in the last 90 days, it is inside calling hours, and — unless you tick *Also send it to leads who already booked* — they have not booked yet. Nothing goes out after 90 days from the inquiry.
STOP OFFERS and RESUME
- STOP OFFERS stops offers only; appointment texts and replies about their own inquiry continue. The person gets a confirmation saying so.
- STOP stops everything, as always.
- RESUME turns offers back on for someone who sent STOP OFFERS. It never undoes a full STOP — that still needs the person to opt in again.
Your responsibility
The offer is your advertising. Medical, dental and legal practices follow their state's rules for it; real-estate offers may not touch housing terms. FirstFiveMin writes none of the offer text.
