The Night Window: after-hours conversations
The Night Window
Nobody is allowed to call a lead in the middle of the night, so a lead who arrives after hours used to get a form and a wait. The Night Window is an after-hours chat: the assistant talks with the lead on your lead page, discloses that it is an AI, asks the same short interview, and books a real slot from your calendar or a call-back at a waking hour. You get the full transcript.
The same Window runs on FirstFiveMin's own landing page after hours: the demo card there frames our real lead page, so what a visitor tries at night is exactly what your leads get.
Turning it on
On Settings, the field Night Window (after-hours conversations) has two choices:
- On — talk with leads who arrive after hours
- Off — always show the regular form
Below it, When should the Window be open?:
- Quiet hours only (the default): outside the lawful calling window the Window opens; inside it, leads get your regular form and the usual five-minute call.
- Always open: the Window handles every lead at every hour. Your claim window still runs alongside it; claim a lead mid-conversation and the assistant hands over.
What the assistant will and will not do at night
- It still never calls before your calling window opens, even when the lead asks, and it says why.
- Consent uses the same fixed wording as everywhere else. The assistant renders it; it cannot reword it.
- It books your real calendar: a callback at a waking hour, or an actual slot that respects your busy blocks.
Your Night Window link
On Get leads, once you have a short link, the card Your Night Window link shows the same link with w- in front. Put it wherever you promise an answer at any hour: social bios, email signatures, voicemail greetings. In daylight the same link shows your regular form, never a dead end.
Where the conversations go
Every conversation appears on Conversations under Night Window conversations, and on the lead's own record. A lead who chatted overnight is marked "chatted with your AI" on the Leads page, and the morning strip says how many leads talked to your AI while you were away.
Common problems
- The Window never shows: it needs the account activated and the setting On. In "Quiet hours only" it only appears outside the lawful calling window for the lead's area.
- A lead saw the form instead of the chat: if the assistant is unavailable for any reason, the page falls back to the form. The lead is still captured.
