What the assistant says: greeting and coaching notes

The greeting and your coaching notes

Two cards on Settings shape what the assistant says on a call: AI call greeting (the first thing a lead hears) and Coach your AI (standing guidance that rides alongside the script).

AI call greeting

  • Greeting for leads from: pick the source the greeting applies to. "Website form (the default greeting)", "Chatbot conversations", or "API / CRM integrations". Each source can have its own opening line.
  • English greeting and Spanish greeting: edit them in your own words. The line under each field lists what the greeting must include, and a live preview shows how it reads with your business name filled in.
  • Press Save greeting.

Two things are checked when you save and cannot be removed: the assistant identifies itself as an AI, and it says the call is recorded. Your business name must appear early in the greeting, so a lead knows who is calling within the first sentence. A greeting that drops any of these is refused with a message naming what is missing.

Coach your AI

The Coach your AI box is a standing note, up to 2000 characters, for things like "we only serve the east side", "always ask if the roof is metal", or "Saturday appointments are fine". Press Save coaching note. The note rides next to the script on every call and shows on the Conversations page under "What your AI is told", so you can read a transcript next to the guidance the assistant actually had.

The note cannot claim the assistant is a human or deny that it is an AI; a note that tries is refused.

Where the interview questions come from

The short qualification interview follows your industry (chosen at setup) and is authored by the assistant from that scope. To make its answers about your business specific, use What your AI knows rather than the coaching note: facts belong there, guidance belongs here.

Common problems

  • "The greeting must include…": put the AI disclosure, the recording line and your business name back. The preview shows the exact result.
  • The assistant used the old greeting on a call: greetings apply to calls placed after you save. Check the source selector matches how that lead arrived.
  • The note was refused: remove any wording that says or implies the caller is a person.
