"Putting your form on a WordPress site"
Putting your form on a WordPress site
There are two ways, and the snippet works everywhere.
The snippet (works on any site)
Copy the snippet from Get leads and paste it into your theme's header, or into a Custom HTML block on the page where you want the form. That is the whole job.
The plugin
If you would rather not touch theme files, our plugin does the same thing: you paste the key once in Settings → FirstFiveMin and it places the snippet for you.
It is deliberately tiny. It stores your key and prints one script tag. It makes no requests of its own, stores nothing about your visitors, adds no new addresses to your site, and removes its two settings when you uninstall it.
The plugin is pending publication in the WordPress directory. Until it is listed, you can install it by hand: download both files from the WordPress card on Get leads, put them in a folder called firstfivemin inside wp-content/plugins/, and activate it.
Either way: add your site to Allowed domains
This is the step people miss. In Get leads, add your site's domain to Allowed domains, or leads from it are refused.
That refusal is on purpose. Without it, anyone could copy your snippet onto their own site and fill your dashboard with leads that are not yours.
If the form does not appear
- The key is missing or mistyped. The plugin refuses a key of the wrong shape and says so; the snippet will simply do nothing. - Your domain is not in Allowed domains. - A caching plugin is serving an old copy of the page. Clear it.
