Get leads: your form, short link, QR code and allowed domains

Get leads

Get leads is where leads come from: one small snippet on your website, a short link for anything printed or spoken, and the list of domains your form accepts leads from. Until a form is placed somewhere, no leads can come in.

The embed snippet

  1. If you see Create your widget, press Generate my widget. It mints your public widget key; no secret is exposed in the browser.
  2. Under Embed snippet, press Copy snippet and paste it just before the </body> tag on any page of your site.
  3. Under Allowed website domains, add your site's https domain and press Add. With no domains listed, the browser widget does not accept leads.

Every lead lands in your Leads page instantly and starts your claim window. The form carries the consent wording leads agree to; you cannot change that wording, and that is what makes the assistant's call lawful.

Your short link and QR code

For flyers, yard signs, cards, or reading out over the phone: press Create my short link. The card shows the link, Copy link, and QR downloads (Download SVG for print, Download PNG for social or documents). Optionally type a Campaign tag (letters, numbers, dot, hyphen, underscore) and press Apply so you know which flyer brought the lead. Scan the code with your phone before you send anything to print.

If the Night Window is on, Your Night Window link is the same link with w- in front: it opens the after-hours chat on the first tap, and shows your regular form in daylight.

Your page

Your short link opens a one-page site built from what you have already filled in: your business name and the photo you kept on your contact card, buttons to Call, Text or Get a callback, what you do, where you work, your hours, your reviews link and Save our contact. The callback form is the same form, with the same consent. Text appears only when you have your own number and texting is ready; the shared FirstFiveMin number is never shown. An empty section is not shown. On Get leads, "Your page is missing" lists what to fill in, each with a link to the field. After hours, the Night Window still opens instead when it is on.

Add it to your website

Add it to your website on Get leads shows three ways, easiest first. Any of them works on any website builder.

  • Easiest: a button. A Get a callback button that opens your form. Copy the button gives you its code to paste; Copy the link gives you a plain link for a menu or a text link; Download the button (PNG) saves it as an image you can place and link.
  • A form box on your page. Your form inside your page, sized for a phone. Copy the form box and paste it where you want the form. The box shows only on the websites you allowed under Allowed website domains; on any other site it stays blank.
  • The full widget. The form, texting and voice on every page of your site: use the embed snippet below it.

The button and the box both use your short link, so create the short link first.

Status and security

  • Widget enabled (accepting leads): the on/off switch for the form. Off shows "Paused".
  • Rotate signing secret: only for posting leads server-to-server. The browser widget does not use it. The new secret is shown once; save it immediately.

Voice widget

When voice calling is connected on your account, a Voice widget card offers a second snippet: a talk button visitors speak to out loud. It rides the same key, the same allowed domains and the same switch. Add data-lang="es" inside the tag for a Spanish-language site.

Common problems

  • Leads are not arriving from the site: the domain is missing from Allowed website domains, or the widget is paused.
  • "The short link turns on once your administrator sets the app's public address": the platform address is not configured yet; the embed snippet works meanwhile.
  • "Only the account owner or an admin can change this": your role can view this page but not change it.
