The window is five minutes wide

Your lead waits five minutes. Then they call someone else.

You get five minutes to answer it yourself. If you can't — you're driving, you're at a showing, it's 7pm on a Sunday — we call in your name, qualify, and put the appointment on your calendar before the lead moves on.

7-day free trial · no card · cancel yourself

Your number on the caller ID. Stop it any time inside the window.

Hear it for yourself: call (951) 720-3853. When we can't pick up, our AI assistant answers — and tells you it's an AI.

Try it on yourself no signup

Between 8am and 8pm your time, the phone rings in under a minute. Outside those hours we don't call — we book it for the next morning and tell you exactly when. Either way, the assistant opens by telling you it's an automated assistant.

Watch the five minutes happen.

A customer texts from the site — the AC is not cooling — and asks for a call, but the tech is in an attic with an AC unit. The five minutes run out, the assistant calls from the business number, says what it is, and the estimate lands on the calendar. Recorded in the shipped product.

The problem

A lead is worth the most in the minute it arrives.

Portal enquiries, IDX forms, chatbot handoffs — they all arrive while you are doing something else. By the time you are free, the person has filled out three more forms and spoken to whoever picked up first. Nothing about your follow-up is broken. The timing is.

How do you compare?

Put your own number on the line.

Drag to your honest typical reply time. Nothing to fill in, nothing sent anywhere — the page just places you.

So what does the wait cost? Log scale. Nothing you enter leaves the page. These are live estimates; your results will vary.
How it works

Four steps, and you can interrupt any of them.

Nothing happens automatically while your window is still running.

01

They say yes at the form

A one-tap consent step on your own form asks whether an assistant may call now, or whether they'd rather wait for you. Their answer is stored with the exact wording they saw and a timestamp.

02

Your five minutes start

You get a text and the lead appears with a running clock. Claim it and nothing automated happens. Set the window to two minutes, or fifteen, or zero.

03

If the clock runs out, it calls

From your number. It says it's an automated assistant, works through your qualifying questions, and answers theirs. If they ask for a person, it stops and tells you.

04

The appointment lands on your calendar

Booked against your real availability, written into the calendar you already use, with reminders to both sides. Not another inbox to check.

The mechanism

Yes, it's an AI. It says so, out loud, first.

Every call opens with the assistant identifying itself as automated, before it asks anything. That is not a setting you can turn off, and it is the reason we can put your name on the caller ID without putting your reputation at risk. A lead who wants a human gets one — you — and you'll know within seconds.

Forward the numbers you already have. The assistant answers, asks why they're calling and which property or job it's about, books or takes a message, and you get the transcript.

What does it actually do on the call?

  • Asks why they're calling and which property or job it's about Notes the answer on the lead, and answers first outside working hours.
  • Reads phone numbers and emails back digit by digit. And offers a person when a caller sounds frustrated.
  • Screens spam and scanner calls Before they reach your line or create a lead. A caller who already gave consent is never screened.

Asks for a person? It hands the call to you.

Your phone gets a text with the caller's first name, then it rings — then the next number on your list, in the order you choose. Nobody free? It offers a callback, or books the appointment.

Your cell rings once you have verified it in Settings.

The default opening line
Hi, is this Dana? This is the AI scheduling assistant for Alder & Co — you asked about 418 Alder Street on our site. This call is recorded. Do you have a quick minute so I can get you scheduled?
Sure, go ahead.
Mid-call recording opt-out

Don't want to be recorded? Say so — in any words.

The assistant acknowledges it, that call's recording is deleted, and we never record you on future calls. No keyword, no menu, no callback to a support line.

Deleted from our systems promptly, and purged from our vendor's systems within 30 days at the latest.

Mid-call, in her own words
Actually, I'd rather this wasn't recorded.
Understood — this call's recording will be deleted, and we won't record you on future calls. Let's continue.
Recording deleted · preference written to the evidence log
What your AI knows

Will it make things up?

No. The assistant answers from what you gave it — your website, imported, or facts you typed by hand — and every answer carries a source and a date. When it does not know, it says so and offers you instead.

The importer brings in what your business actually says and leaves out menus, footers, cookie notices and legal pages. Everything imported can be removed in one step; the facts you typed survive.

A fact, with its source
“We don't handle rentals — sales only.”
Source: fact added by Dana · Aug 30
What it will not do

Seven conditions have to be true before a call is placed.

Not a badge, not a promise — the actual list the system checks at the moment of dialling. If any one of them fails, no call happens and the reason is written down.

01
A recorded yes

This person agreed, to this wording, at this timestamp. Their most recent answer is the one that counts.

02
Not on your stop list

Reply STOP to a text and we stop calling and texting that number, on every campaign, and record when.

03
Daytime where they are

Their local clock, not yours. Your calling hours are clamped inside the federal window and cannot be widened past it.

04
Under the attempt cap

Three tries in twenty-four hours by default. You can adjust it — but there is no way to set it to unlimited.

05
A timezone we can resolve

If we cannot work out what time it is where they are, we do not guess. The call does not go out.

06
Said no mid-call? Done.

A spoken opt-out suppresses the number immediately, during the call, and flags the lead for you.

07
The evidence row was written

Every check above leaves an audit record before the dial. If the record cannot be written, the call is cancelled — we would rather miss a lead than place a call we cannot account for later. You can export the whole trail for any lead, any time.

We could text your lead while they're asleep. We'd rather you didn't get sued. Federal quiet hours run 8am to 9pm in your lead's local time — and they cover texts, not just calls. So we don't reach out outside them: we hold the lead, book the morning, and tell them exactly when. Answering a text a lead sent you in the last 12 hours is a reply, not outreach — that one still goes through.

Quiet hours enforced in the time zone of the number we dial, plus mini-TCPA rules for 17 states — anything outside that table falls back to the strictest window, never the loosest.

And two things it will not say, once the call is up: It will not name or recommend another business. It will not imply a waitlist that does not exist.

Night Window · new

The hours you can't call are the hours nobody else is working.

Someone finds you at 2am. Every other service in this category answers with a form and a wait. Night Window answers with a conversation — one question at a time — that qualifies them, says out loud that it is an AI, takes consent on the record, and books the appointment. Quiet hours end the phone call, not the interest: you wake up to a calendar entry that did not exist when you went to bed.

After it's booked

What happens to the appointment after it's booked?

It gets looked after. Reminders escalate instead of trailing off, cancellations get refilled, and your booking terms are said while they book — not discovered when someone is charged.

More than one kind of appointment.

Several lengths and kinds per agent — a first tour and a listing appointment are not the same slot.

Prerequisites, asked up front.

What must be true or brought before an appointment is worth keeping — a written buyer agreement before a first tour, both owners for a listing appointment.

Your terms, stated while they book.

Your cancellation and no-show terms are read out before the slot is confirmed — whichever of them you have set. Anything you leave blank is simply not mentioned, and FirstFiveMin never charges a fee itself; it states yours.

Reminders that escalate.

Two unanswered reminders and you hear about it. If a lead has not confirmed once the second reminder has gone out, the assistant stops nudging them and tells you instead — once, not repeatedly.

Cancel or reschedule by voice.

Mid-call, in two steps by construction — the assistant confirms before anything changes.

STOP does not cancel your appointment.

A plain STOP is an instruction about messages, and is honoured as one. Only a cancel-shaped reply cancels.

A waitlist that fills the gap.

A cancellation is offered to anyone waiting, instead of leaving a hole in the day.

Arrival windows.

For trades that cannot honestly promise an exact hour. Set a window and the caller hears the window, not a time you'll miss.

On-call by time of day.

Add an after-hours coverage row and urgent requests follow a different ladder from the daytime one — who gets reached depends on when.

Reviews

Will it ask my customers for reviews?

One review request, ninety days apart. Once you add your review link, the assistant sends a single text after an appointment that actually happened — and it will not ask that person again for ninety days.

Nothing offered in return, and nothing screened first. The request offers no discount, gift or credit, and the assistant never looks at how the appointment went before sending it — only that it happened.

What happens when a lead falls through?

A lead who comes back is recognisedA reply weeks later, a call to your line, a new form: the claim window reopens, remaining follow-ups stop, and you get a distinct alert with an excerpt of what they said.
A weekly “calls worth a listen” textFailed transfers, frustrated callers, times offered but not taken, questions the assistant could not answer.
A missed call ends in a voicemailNothing is lost: the message lands on the lead.
Review requests with your own review link, and a contact cardAfter an appointment that took place, one text asks for a review using the link you set; a contact card the lead can save arrives with the confirmation.

How many leads are you losing?

A range, not a promise.

We could show you one dramatic number. Instead: a band, built on published studies with their dates, and every assumption written out where you can argue with it.

Same slider as the gauge above — move either one.

Estimated, conservatively
1–5

leads a month that go cold in the wait

$2,500 – $12,000

a month at stake · $30,000 – $150,000 a year

These are live estimates. Your results will vary.

Every assumption behind that band

Oldroyd / InsideSales, 2007. Leads contacted within 5 minutes were 100× more likely to be reached and 21× more likely to qualify than at 30 minutes.

Harvard Business Review, 2011. 42-hour average first response across 2,241 companies — the marker on the gauge above.

InSellerate, 2015. Of 778 companies sent a digital inquiry, 56.34% never responded at all, so published averages flatter the field.

Ours, not a study finding: we assume only 5–15% of your leads would qualify even with a five-minute response — a deliberately low baseline — and apply the published 21× qualification decay (Oldroyd / InsideSales, 2007), interpolated between 5 and 30 minutes, to your reply time. At five minutes or faster we estimate zero loss. Both ends are FFM's own conservative modeling assumption, shown here beside every estimate.

We take the low end of every band for the low number and never round up. No decay curve is extrapolated past what the studies measured; the studies are about contact and qualification, not your revenue.

Not a forecast, not a guarantee, and not a claim about your business. Full methodology.

Before anything is real

Can I see it before anything is real?

Yes. Every new account is born in demo mode with eight labelled samples — leads, calls, a booking, an alert, a transfer — so you can walk the whole product before a lead or a dollar moves.

Setup is free to explore. Connect your calendar, import your site, pick your number. Only the assistant's calling and texting is paid, and it does not start until you leave demo mode.

●Night Window · 2 conversations

You pay for engaged leads. Nothing else is metered.

Every plan includes every feature and unlimited minutes and texts within your leads — they differ only in how many leads the assistant engages a month.

What an answered call costs.

An inbound call the assistant answers counts as one engaged lead — whether it books, answers a question, or is just a conversation. Short hangups and spam are never counted. Never per minute.

The assistant talks for up to twenty minutes per caller per billing period, then takes a message.

Not a phone system. The number you get from FirstFiveMin — or the shared FirstFiveMin number you start on — is a lead line, not a phone. Leads call and text it; the assistant answers, and it rings your own phone first when you want it to. You cannot dial out or type a text from it, and there is no inbox. Your phone, your carrier and your existing numbers stay exactly as they are — forward them here if you like, and take your FirstFiveMin number with you if you ever leave.

FirstFiveMin Text is a separate add-on at one price on every plan. See FirstFiveMin Text →

✓Self-serve cancel from your Billing page — no calls, no retention scripts. You keep access through the period you paid for.
✓Caps pause the AI — they never surprise-bill. At your cap you choose: buy extra leads for this period, or change plan at your next renewal. Doing neither is fine.
✓We alert you at 80% of your monthly leads.
✓If the AI pauses at your cap, your team alerts and claim windows keep working.
✓Unlimited minutes and texts within your plan's leads.
✓Every feature on every plan — plans differ only by capacity.
✓Compliance included on every plan: consent evidence, quiet hours, the state rules in our 17-state table, 10DLC registration — never an upsell. Scrubbing against external do-not-call registries is an optional integration you contract for; it is not included.
✓A single opt-out stops texts, calls, emails and voicemail drops. "Please stop calling" works. Any words, any channel — no magic keywords required.
✓Port your number in, port it out — your number is yours. If you leave, we cooperate with your port the day you ask, and we hold your numbers for 90 days in case you come back. Never resold, never held hostage.
Do I have to give up my existing number? No. Register the numbers you forward in, with your carrier's forwarding codes. Calls that arrive by forwarding are labelled with the line they came through. Add a second number without re-running setup. If the carriers reject the registration, you fix and resubmit the same registration at no charge, with a card explaining what was flagged. What we do not do

What FirstFiveMin does not do

Every line is a product rule that is already built — not an intention.

✕No cold-call blasting. The assistant only calls a lead who asked to be contacted, with a consent record behind every dial.
✕No per-minute billing. Plans are measured in leads the assistant actually worked, never in minutes.
✕No annual lock-in and no retention call. Month to month; cancel yourself from your Billing page and keep access to the end of the period you paid for.
✕No keyword-only opt-out. "Please stop calling" works, in any words, on any channel — and it stops everything.
✕No pretending to be human. The assistant says it is an AI in its first sentence, on every call.
✕No holding your number. It is yours; take it to any carrier whenever you like, no permission needed.
✕Not a phone system.
✕A check we cannot complete stops the call. With do-not-call screening switched on, every number is checked before a dial — and if the registry cannot be reached, or the answer comes back unreadable, the call is refused rather than placed.
✕Every message has a named sender. There is no screen where a message can be written and pointed at whoever you like: each kind of message FirstFiveMin sends is built into the product, and an automated check refuses any sender that is not on the list.
✕One lead, one conversation. Messages go to the person who asked to be contacted, one thread at a time. There is no list to upload and no way to send to many people at once.
✓FirstFiveMin handles the first five minutes. Your CRM, practice or scheduling system stays your record.
✓Booked appointments land in your Google or Outlook Calendar when one is connected. With no calendar connected, they live in the FirstFiveMin calendar, which is always the record.
✓The assistant speaks English and Spanish and answers in the lead's language.

Frequently asked

Will it sound like a robot and embarrass me?

It tells every lead it is automated, so nobody feels tricked. Watch the two-minute film above — the disclosure is the first thing it says.

Does the AI replace my team?

No. You answer first inside your window; the AI only acts as a backstop when you can't, and hands the booked appointment to you.

Is my call recorded, and can a lead say no?

Calls are recorded and the assistant says so on the call. If a lead asks not to be recorded — in any words — it acknowledges, that call's recording is deleted, and we never record them on future calls.

Is this a team product?

Deliberately not. One account is one agent, with one calendar and one voice. We would rather do that properly than build round-robin routing nobody trusts.

Does it connect to my CRM?

Yes — Zapier, Make and signed webhooks.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Month-to-month, no contracts. Cancel yourself from the billing page — no calls, no retention scripts — and you keep access through the period you've already paid for.

Is it legal for an AI to call my leads?

Yes, done right. The AI identifies itself, only dials with a recorded consent, honors STOP instantly, and respects quiet hours and state rules — all audited.

Will the assistant make things up?

No. It answers only from your imported website and the facts you typed, cites the source and date, and says so when it does not know.

Can I try it before a lead or a dollar moves?

Yes. Every new account starts in demo mode with eight labelled samples. Setup is free to explore; only the assistant's calling and texting is paid.

Does replying STOP cancel my appointment?

No. STOP is an instruction about messages and is honoured as one. Only a reply that says to cancel cancels.

What does an answered inbound call cost me?

One engaged lead, never per minute. Spam and short hang-ups are never metered. The assistant talks for up to twenty minutes per caller per billing period, then takes a message.

Can I keep my existing number?

Yes. Forward it in with your carrier's codes and calls are labelled with the line they came through. Your FirstFiveMin number is yours: port in, port out, held 90 days, never resold.

Can I sign in without a password?

Yes — passkeys. Fingerprint, face or device PIN, on every plan.

Will it ask my customers for reviews?

Once you add your review link, yes — one text after an appointment that actually happened, and not again for ninety days. It offers nothing in return, and it never looks at how the appointment went before sending. It only checks that it happened.

How fast does it actually answer?

We publish the median time to first hello for the last 30 days, measured from the lead's submission to the moment they hear the assistant speak. Your own number is on your Analytics page.

Do I need a plan to use FirstFiveMin Text?

No. FirstFiveMin Text is sold on its own, with your own registered line; a FirstFiveMin plan turns on the assistant and Text drops to the with-a-plan price. Every plan pays the same for it.

Point it at one lead source and watch what happens.

Month-to-month, no contracts, no setup fee. If it doesn't book you anything, cancel from your Billing page and nothing else happens.

7-day free trial · no card · cancel yourself

State exclusion: the AI assistant does not call numbers in Indiana (Ind. Code §24-5-14-5). State law requires a live operator to obtain consent before an automated device may deliver an artificial-voice message, so FirstFiveMin does not AI-dial there. Your team alerts and claim windows still work normally.
